தோல்வியின் கதை-The Journey Through Failure

நம்ம எல்லாரும் எப்பவும் ஒருவரோடு வெற்றி கதையை கேட்டுத்தான் நம்மளும் இப்படி இருக்கனும் ஜெயிக்கனுனு ஆசைப்படுவோம். வெற்றியாளர்களோட பழக்கங்கள், அவங்க பயன்படுத்திய உத்திகள்னு எல்லாமே முயற்சி செய்வோம். ஆனா உண்மையிலேயே வெற்றிக்கு நல்ல குரு தோல்விதான். நம்மள சுத்தி நம்ம பக்கத்துல ஏதோ ஒரு முயற்சி செய்து தோற்று போனவங்கள நம்ம ஒருபொருட்ட நினைக்கவே மாட்டோம். சில நேரங்களில் நமக்கான பாடம் அவங்ககிட்டதன் இருக்கும்.

We rarely pay attention to the people around us who tried something and failed. Yet sometimes, the lesson meant for us lies in their story.

Have you all watched the movie Jigarthanda? There’s a scene where the hero, Siddharth, gets stuck in a situation where he has no choice but to make a film with the villain, Bobby Simha. Not knowing what to do, he sits outside a shop in the middle of the night. At dawn, the petty-shop owner, Palani Thaatha, arrives — the same man who keeps narrating stories throughout the film.

When he sees Siddharth sitting there, he immediately understands the situation and shares his own story of failure. Years ago, he had come with the dream of becoming a director. At that time, he believed opportunities would keep coming one after another. He even fought with a producer, thinking another chance would appear soon. But the opportunity he lost never came back. Listening to this, Siddharth suddenly realizes something important — he should not let this chance slip away.

There are two lessons for us here:

1. Not only success stories, but failure stories also guide us.
2. We should never let go of an opportunity, because it may not come again so easily.
